You guys! I've got a super fun post today. I'm going real OG here on the blog with an old school "what's in my handbag" post! The twist? I'm showing you what's in my R. Riveter Patton, my little "do everything, go everywhere" bag. If you've seen me out and about, chances are you've seen me with either of my two R. Riveter Patton handbags. Becuase the Patton is so small, I figured I would show you all why it truly is my favorite little bag around.
The Patton alone provides 7 military spouses with mobile, flexible income. How cool is that? Just like the woman it's named after, the Patton is my go-to bag for pulling double, triple, even quadruple duty. You can find more information about the R. Riveter Patton here and don't forget to use the code RRDARRIAND at checkout for 15% off.
Now, let's get right into what's in my handbag: R. Riveter Patton edition!
R. Riveter Wallet
Obviously, I'm going to be carrying a wallet in my bag. I've raved about this one from R. Riveter in the past and I'm still obsessed with it. I cannot tell you how much of a game changer the exterior ID pocket is.
If you're on your phone even half as much as me then you probably carry one of these and/or an external battery with you at all times. I can't plug my phone into my work computer which means I have to have a wall charger on me, especially if I know I'm going to be on my phone a lot that day. I will say that the iPhone 8+ battery life is AMAZING though and I rarely have to charge my phone out of necessity. (Anyone else get super anxious when their battery percentage drops below 50%?).
My Retainer Case
Okay, so this definitely sounds like something a 13-year-old going through puberty would say but yes, it's true! I keep a retainer case in my bag at all times because I'm currently straightening my teeth through Smile Direct Club. That means I wear invisible aligners for 22 hours a day... at least.
West Virginia University Lanyard
I always have this lanyard floating around in whatever bag I'm carrying because it's where I keep the ID card that allows me to get on base and to access my work computer. I've only ever thought I lost it or left it somewhere twice which I think is a pretty good record. Also, lanyards are so not cute.
Lip Balm and/or Lipsense
I never ever ever ever leave the house without one or both of these things. I have to have something on my lips. My favorite lip balm right now has to be the Burt's Bees kind my mom threw in my stocking for Christmas. As for Lipsense, I'm obsessed with the stuff. I know a lot of people either love it or hate it and I'm definitely placing myself in the love category. I've used it for everything since I started using it, from our second engagement shoot to my bridal shower. My favorite color is Sassy Z which also happens to be the first color I ever received.
Okay, my fiance has THE WORST sneezes known to man. I mean, it's actually hilarious how violent his sneezes are. I always carry tissues because they can be quite messy and you truly never know when you're going to need one.
Mini Hand Sanitizer
With this year's flu going around, you can never be too careful. That's why I've started keeping a mini bottle of hand sanitizer in my bag. My current favorite is from Bath and Body works and happens to be champagne themed.
I keep a full sized prescription medicine bottle in my bag also because I have medicine that I have to take every day, typically around lunch time.
