Currently, January 2018

It's Monday and we're wrapping up the first month of 2018, Y'all! Anyone else think that's crazy or is it just me? Anyways, I have been looking to incorporate more of what's going on in my day-to-day life here on the blog, aside from Saturday Morning Coffee posts and I figured a currently list would be the perfect way to do that!

January has honestly been such a great month. A weird one, since I haven't had a full regular work week, but great nonetheless. I have had an amazing month blog traffic wise, connected with some pretty incredible people, and got to celebrate my upcoming nuptials with my friends and family.

Also, guys, the struggle to shoot pictures for this post was REAL let me tell ya. Does anyone else struggle with getting their SO to understand what you need/want for a blog post? It about drove me crazy!

Anyways, let me know if you want this series to continue! I'm also planning on doing the typical favorites videos for my YouTube channel so stay tuned for that coming at ya on Sunday!

Currently, in January 2018, I'm:

Reading || Before the Fall by Noah Hawley

If you caught my 2018 Reading List then you already know that I'm only reading books I already owned (at least the first 12, anyway). While my book buying ban does kind of suck, it has motivated me to read more. In total, I've already read two books in the month of January! The first was Illuminae and the second was The Five Love Languages: Military Edition. I just started Before the Fall by Noah Hawley which was recommended to me by one of my favorite podcasts, My Favorite Murder. I'm also reading Whiskey Words and a Shovel I which is a poetry book. I like to switch between the two so I actually have time to digest the poetry in the latter.

Watching | Hart of Dixie

Hart of Dixie has been my obsession all through the month of January. The first two seasons had me utterly invested in the characters but the third season has damn near bored me to tears. I'm hoping the storyline picks up soon. The acting is kind of terrible but I find that I identify with Lemon Breeland on some personal level which has me still watching the show.

Listening | The Greatest Showman Soundtrack

Can't stop, won't stop. I have been listening to the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman ever since Justin and I saw it a few weeks ago. I mean, it's just SO stinking good guys. If you haven't seen it, are you like, hiding under a rock or something? At least do yourself a favor and gt your hands on the soundtrack. I've never been so #blessed to have Apple Music before this. I've also been listening to a ton of great podcasts, cause duh.

Praying for | Peace

We have post night coming up in just over a week so I have been praying, praying, praying for God to grant me peace with wherever our path takes us. I often get so wrapped up in wanting to go to the best post or not wanting to go to one particular place that I forget that God has a plan.

Loving | My Fiance

This probably seems like a given but this month has been a real game changer in our relationship. I don't know what it is, my therapist says that I've had an "ah ha" moment but I am just loving on Justin every chance I get. It's so crazy to think back to where we were three years ago to now and preparing for our wedding. Just 4 more months to go!

Wearing | Anything from Target

I mentioned this on my most recent Saturday Morning Coffee post but Target is not playing games when it comes to their clothing anymore. I am so impressed by the great pieces they have in stock every time I go into the store! My credit card hates me but my entire wardrobe could seriously come from Target right now. One of my favorite trends right now is statement sleeves and I've been obsessed with this plaid top I picked up on one of my recent trips. Paired with skinny or boyfriend jeans, it's the perfect top to dress up any outfit!
